The issue of control

Right when I was first diagnosed I remember my endo kept telling me 'you must control your sugars' You must be in control of yourself' everywhere I looked there was this word 'control'. Everytime diabetes came up control was like its ugly twin sister. I have spent so much time trying to find this 'control' that my endo kept talking about. 9 years later I was exhausted. Hey Gathoni,

How are you? Did you make it to the Chat? I'm sorry I wasn't online, got stuck in the middle of nowhere for the day.

How is everything going with your exercise numbers now? I've gone up and down the past few weeks. Saw my new endo yesterday and she told me to bolus a unit of fast acting before working out if my blood sugars are over 250 mg/dl (which I don't do, I usually let my cardio try to bring it down) and wait 30 minutes. I hope it helps. She was great and gave me a lot of new tips to try (things I'd been thinking of or wondering about but never got around to doing them). Sometimes it's so relieving to have another set of eyes staring at the chaos of diabetes!

Hope all is well!
